Kodi / XBMC Installation for Live TV/Movies/Sports

Kodi (formerly known as XBMC) is an award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub that can be installed on Linux, OSX, Windows, iOS, and Android, featuring a 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls. It allows users to play and view most videos, music, podcasts, and other digital media files from local and network storage media and the internet. You will be able to see most of the sports games in good SD or HD quality. You can buy an IR windows media remote for PC to fully enjoy it.

Lots of friends (including me) have discontinued their regular TV/Dish connection after installing Kodi. Here is a quick guide to install it. Software requires continuous maintenance/updates/tweaks for fixing broken links from time to time, if you cannot do that, then I suggest do not install it.

1. Download the latest version from Kodi website and install it. This will install basic software on your device.

2. Now install Addons to fully use the software. Addons can be installed from System > Settings > Addons. You can select from Kodi addons or install from Zip files directly.
